Red face – Red shoes

So Sunday I went to the airport to fly off to Europe to minister to and with the refugees for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, Europe wouldn’t let me in because although my passport was valid for the duration of the trip it would have expired within 3 months of my return (by mere days). Didn’t know that. They didn’t let me go. So, after much stress and meltdowns and with help from my family I expedited my passport and…

Upcoming Sermon Series

The Story of David:   Lessons from a Checkered Heart King David is one of the most beloved and familiar characters found in the Bible. His stories are legendary: he defeats Goliath with a rock, he falls in lust with a neighbor’s wife, he dances shamelessly in public, he pretends to be insane, and he faces the unimaginably pain of being betrayed by his own son. Epic narrative. But the goal of Scripture is not simply to get us into…

Meals for the Sallees

Dan and Terri are friends of several people who attend New Life. They lost their two month old daughter Presley on Sunday. They have 5 other children. Can we bring a few meals to help them through this difficult time? Click HERE to sign up for a meal.

Meals for The Norseths

Can you help provide meals for Andy and Donna Norseth? Dave Vaver’s neighbor Andy Norseth provides care for his wife Donna. Andy fell yesterday loading hay and broke his neck in two places. He was rushed to Harborview.  A couple people are stepping in to help care for Donna. Would you be willing to help provide a meal for a Donna and her care giver?  Click HERE to sign up.

Single Service Summer Schedule

Summer Single Service Schedule Starts this week. Reminder, starting this Sunday, May 24th, there will only one service at 10:30 am as we shift to our single service summer schedule.  The reduced service schedule for the summer allows all of the volunteers that make New Life happen to slow down, take a deep breath, enjoy their families more, and recharge for our fall kickoff. Enjoy your summer!  See you this Sunday at 10:30 am.

Getting to know your neighbor

Posted: Saturday, February 28, 2015 7:25 am Getting to know your neighbor By KEVIN HALL Pastor at New Life Assembly in Kittitas and contributing Columnist The Daily Record | 0 comments One of my favorite movies from the “Movies-You-Love-But-Friends-Hate” category is a film called, “Mars Attacks.” It’s a fleabag, sci-fi parody that majors in stupid humor. In one scene, Glen Close, who plays the first lady of the United States, fumes over the Martians using the Van Buren china. In another…

Sacred Lovers

I am not caught off guard by the popularity of 50 Shades of Grey, a book and movie that has been dubbed, ‘mommy porn.’ It’s ironic that it is getting so many bad reviews and yet it is setting records at the box office. I’m also not caught off by its distortion of relationships and the objectifying of both men and women (according to the reviews I’ve read). However, I am caught off guard by the number of Christians who…
